Latif Yahia, an Iraqi Army lieutenant stationed on the Iranian border, bears an uncanny resemblance to the devil incarnate, Uday Hussein. Latif is summoned to Saddam Hussein's inner sanctum where he is given a choice: become the body double of Saddam's demonic son Uday... or die.
The documentary and feature film is based on the life story of Latif Yahia and his bestselling novels The Devil's Double and I was Saddam's Son. Over one million copies of these books have been sold worldwide. As opposed to the books, the documentary and feature film will also incorporate the details of Latif Yahia's experiences after he fled Iraq. Latif manages to escape to Europe, and refuses to become an agent for the CIA. He fights to rid himself of his self-loathing and his real-life alter ego Uday Hussein.
